Iran Bans Popular Game ‘Clash Of Clans’ For Promoting “Violence, Tribal Wars”

Even though I haven’t played the popular game, clash of clans before, I can as well decipher through the name that it would involve some form of clashes, say fightings and wars, but they are not the first of their kind.
A lot of other games have involved more scary actions that clash of clans might possess, so I don’t really get why the Iranian government decided to take such a move against just this particular game and some others before now.
Clash of clans

The Iranian media reports the Committee for Determining Instances of Criminal Content (yes, they have that in Iran) has decided to recommend the government to block Clash of Clans after it allegedly received reports from psychologists who explain how the mobile game “promotes violence, tribal war.”
On top of that, the game is “extremely addictive,” so it must be banned as soon as possible.
Following the committee’s announcement, Iran’s Ministry of Justice has decided to limit access to Clash of Clans due to the game being a “clear example of violence through education and the promotion of tribal war.”
Pokémon Go

Clash of Clans is among the most popular mobile games in Iran, but it’s not the first one to have been blocked in Iran and will probably not be the last either.
This summer the same committee has decided to ban another popular mobile game, Pokemon GO, because the game uses location-based technology.
What is it with banning of these in my honest opinion, harmless games which were just created for the fun of it. Why derive people of their fun all in the name of you not wanting to “promote violence, tribal war”. I mean other countries didn’t take such drastic measures yet they are still living fine. Well, it is left for them to decide what’s best for them.

People have opined that the ban might be temporary but I honestly don’t think that.
